It is true that successful people embrace challenges and obstacles because we know that it is all part of success.
But unsuccessful folks out there don’t like challenges and run away from obstacles because they fear them and are scared of failing.
Now if you don’t know, failure is also part of success and I actually talk all about it here in a different post.
So what I have to say is that we all should actually learn to like challenges and obstacles in our lives because not only does it make life more interesting, but in order to succeed, we have to enjoy it!
Or else, you’re not going to go too far out based on my own experience.
In fact, most people think that success is an “overnight” result, but it’s definitely not… It is years and years of facing challenges, obstacles, failures, effort, constant hard work, discipline, and a lot more.
That’s why only a few percent of the population succeed in life, while the rest work for successful individuals. So let’s get going to find out more about challenges and obstacles!
What Are Challenges and Obstacles?
Challenge is a dispute of action that we take in order to win. It could also be a competition, test, or whatever.
And an obstacle on the other hand is a “blocking barrier” trying to stand in the way to make things more difficult/complicated to go forward in life or to prevent us from succeeding and achieving that goal.
Yet, they both work together, especially in all types of success, sports, games, business, etc.
However, most people really do fear challenges and obstacles but the reason why is because they’re either afraid of failing or don’t want to put in the work, and that is 100% true.
Now I personally think of challenge as part of the game and that way, I believe that having a challenge and obstacle, all it’s doing is testing me!
But I truly do love it!
It’s just like hitting the gym and picking up heavy weights for that muscle pump!
It’s me vs the weights and when I look at a specific weight to do a couple of reps and If I somewhat feel like I’m not going to be able to get those reps in, that’s when I turn into beast mode and do whatever it takes to push those reps without any excuses.
And the feeling we all get after accomplishing a challenge or an obstacle that is trying to hold us back, I literally feel amazing as it helps us build more confidence, increase our overall mood, and gain more inner power.
When you face difficult times, know that challenges are not sent to destroy you. They’re sent to promote, increase and strengthen you.
But if we were to run away from any of that, you’re left out feeling weak, negative emotional feelings, and feel totally unpowered…
So you choose wisely!
Now don’t get me wrong, there are a few times that we try to overcome that challenge and obstacle but “fail”. Yet, you have to see that you tried your best and that way, you should feel better than if you were not to do it.
So what I have to say is that you should always take those chances regardless if you feel like you can’t make it. Just remember you only truly fail when you quit or give up.
Why & How Challenges and Obstacles Make Us Succeed?
It’s simple if you don’t take the challenges that come your way and if you let obstacles take over, you CAN’T succeed at all because, in order to succeed in whatever, you have to take action and go all in.
You can’t receive results without doing anything, it just would never happen!
And this goes for basically anything in life.
Either way, you can’t win without any effort/action at all!
And the more you embrace them, the more likely you’ll succeed and see the results sooner or later!
Another example is a sport or a game…
How will you be able to win the game without taking action? I mean, every game is a challenge or else it won’t be a game. And if there is a competitor/s, then that’s an obstacle you have to get through!
So if you don’t take the challenge and fight the obstacle, you’re left out as a loser.
Now learn to love it and that’s what successful athletes do. They all love the challenges, obstacles, and failures because they know that it’s what makes them push harder than ever to get better and better by the day.

The last example is if you were to climb a mountain…
You just have to go forward, keep walking up the hill, and face obstacles throughout the way without any excuses or fear and that’s a true challenge!
I personally never went hiking in my entire life, but I have an urge to want to try it one day and I will do whatever it takes to get up to the top.
By the way, I’m actually thinking here that I personally believe it is much more fun and enjoyable to climb up the mountain than to reach the top.
What I’m saying here is that sure, when we make it to the top, we feel accomplished, good feelings, and proud of ourselves to have achieved that task!
But on our way up there, the real enthusiasm feelings we get make the task much more interesting than reaching up to the top in my point of view.
So that’s why challenges and obstacles are a huge part of success.
Best Tips to Overcome Challenges & Obstacles
What I have to say is that the most important thing you must do is to face it in spite of fear, excuses, or anything that is trying to hold you back.
You should never avoid any challenge if it’s something that is very important to you that will change your life like getting that prize in a competition game, sport, or business that you most desire.
But if you feel like it’s not worth it, then I totally understand and don’t take the chances to beat the challenge because you sure will come across obstacles trying to hold you back down the road, and might end up quitting and feel negative emotional feelings which is a NO-NO!
Another tip that I can give you is that you should always keep your eyes on the prize/results or else, your ego might start bombarding you with many negative things to make you believe that you can’t make it.

Yes, I personally have daily challenges and what I can say is that the only way I get through them is by not listening to anything that is trying to stop me but just go for it, do it, and maintaining my vision on the results at all costs.
Or else, you will lose yourself before even starting it or lose yourself on your way there!
But that’s why I wake up at 5 am every day, pray with only feelings of gratitude, then I start meditation first thing in the morning because that stops my ego from throwing me negative thoughts, and that way, I’m able to have full control of my mindset and only put the positive thoughts that I want at all costs.
I highly recommend you do the same since it’s super important to “shut down” our ego and only listen to our higher-self/intuition regardless of anything.
That way, it is much easier to get through the day filled with challenges and when an obstacle comes my way, I confidently and simply say “try me” and literally laugh at it. And if you do that as well, you’ll see how far you can go in life!

Now, of course, it’s not every time that I do win the results I want but just by trying it and giving my best, we all should feel as if we already won and not see it as a failure because to me, failure is only a word that doesn’t define me which I look at “failure” as a lesson that next time I won’t do the same “mistake”.
But the real meaning of failure to me is actually when we quit or give up on something that really matters to us!
Other than that, it will never be a “failure” in my point of view and therefore, I seem to like to “fail” since the next time, I’ll try even harder and that way, I’ll maximize my full potential.
So that’s a true successful winner’s mindset that I encourage you to have this same type of mentality if you want to be a success in life regardless of what it is!
Other than that, if you have the opposite mentality, you won’t succeed since our mindset is half of the process and the other half is effort, dedication, hard work, discipline, etc.
I mean, you can give all your willpower to something and work extremely hard but if you don’t have that confident, winner mentality, it will be much harder to win if you even come half away across to the finish line based on my knowledge, experience, and wisdom.
