It is true that the more life passes by, the more likely people are to seek comfort in all areas of their lives!
And what does this mean?
It basically means they’re living a survival lifestyle that seems “safe” in their eyes just to get through or trying to live above their means could also mean seeking comfort to look successful.
Which if you be or get into this comfort zone, you’re most likely going to stay and just live life as it is, and not try to grow since it is very addictive.
Now don’t get me wrong because the most successful people out there like multi-millionaires and billionaires, sure they have money but I can be 100% sure that they are actually living below their means and definitely not in a comfort zone.
Anyone who has grown mentally, physically or spiritually knows that growth is not found in comfort. – Unknown
That means they can afford to live the life of their dreams and purchase all of the things they want multiple times, and also live life without having to do anything at all…
Yet, they’re different!
But if you’re like the majority of the population seeking comfort, staying in the same place, or trying to live above your means, you’re not going to live a happy life and reach high levels of success, and that’s a fact.
But the ones that don’t seek it are not only most likely happier than others but are also in the creator/growth mode all the way to the fullest on a regular basis!
So read on and let’s find out how and why humans are seeking comfort zone more than ever and also to find out if it’s really causing more happiness or less.
Why Does It Really Mean to Seek Comfort?
The comfort zone is totally the opposite of the growth zone!
And when I mean people are seeking comfort, it actually means they’re looking forward to staying in a pleasant environment that will actually hold them back from achieving their goals.
Comfort makes us want to lay back and let life take its place. It may feel easy but not better.
A comfort zone is a beautiful place, but nothing ever grows there. – John Assaraf
Sure, it could if you already got some form of success like you have financial freedom, have purchased a home, the car of the year, buying several material things, working less is included and all of that!
Another thing why a person is in a comfort zone is when they are lacking the motivation to do any type of activity on a daily basis.
Now yes, some people do feel good but others feel terrible during this “comfortable” place where they might be releasing the bad chemicals and hormones called Cortisol and feel fear, anxiety, stress, or depression…
Which when you’re in a comfort zone, you’re most likely not willing to change but to stay in the exact same place rather you’re feeling good about it or not.
The hardest thing to do is leaving your comfort zone. But you have to let go of the life you’re familiar with and take the risk to live the life you dream about. – T. Arigo
Therefore, life is made for constant changes and for us to be in the growth mode all the time regardless of anything which is totally the opposite of comfort!
So that is what it means to be or seek the comfort zone.
Why Do People Seek Comfort?
Well, we are living in a modern world where negativity, materialistic people, and unhealthy habits filled with ego are all over the place!
As time passes by, more negativity and unhealthy things are around all of us, and that’s not good…
Therefore, in my point of view, there are ONLY two ways why someone might seek comfort, either through the bad way or through the “okay” way of living but both will look for it because they feel like they’re somewhat “safe” living in their known environment.
We have to be honest about what we want and take risks rather than lie to ourselves and make excuses to stay in our comfort zone. – Roy T. Bennett
The “okay” path is basically as I mentioned above, the ones who already had some form of success before or gained an amount of money in their life, and now they’re looking to seek comfort by acquiring a better materialistic lifestyle to live a “better” life and enjoy it more.
Sure, they might still have their jobs or businesses running, but since they now want comfort, they’re most likely not going to push themselves as hard as they did to reach success back then or have any big goals to grow bigger in life.
And the reason why is because they feel like it’s more “freedom” living this way and that means, they’re going to let life take them to wherever it does since they believe and feel like they can forget the cares, avoid “discomfort”, and have a craving need for comfort at all costs to live a “fulfilled” life.
So that’s some of the reasons why this type of person seeks comfort!
To be successful get yourself out of the situation that makes you feel comfortable. – Nitin Namdeo
And the negative way is when a person has not taken any step further in life, which they are upset and lazy sitting on the couch all day watching tv and eating pizza, or hamburgers and complaining all day about how “life is not fair”, this, and that.
Which they all feel like it’s the “best comfort” for themselves since they have got used to it by surviving in this lifestyle and are probably addicted to this type of life as well…
They avoid taking risks, avoid finding anything new to do, and feel like if they were to take a step further in life, they will be “uncomfortable” and feel even more miserable than they already are!
Is this you, pal? Either way, can you see my point here?
So this is where both types of people get it all wrong because both so-called “comfort” ways lead to unhappiness, and that’s even if they know that it’s not doing them any good or know that they need to do something for their own best.
The comfort zone is the great enemy of courage and confidence. – Brian Tracy
I mean, what they are doing is actually confusing their feelings into thinking that “comfort” is actually good for them when it’s not!
Happy people on the other side will continue to grow and avoid staying in their comfort zone regardless of how much success they have encountered or how old they are since age is just a number.

How to Get Out of Comfort Zone & Be in The Growth Mode?
Since we are living in a world of growth to change and create things to evolve in all areas, only the 2% of the population who knows all about this feel like it’s “comfortable” not being in the “comfort zone” and always seek the unknown.
Whatever makes you uncomfortable is your biggest opportunity for growth. – Bryant H. Mcgill
In fact, one of the world’s richest men alive who is the founder of Amazon, Jeff Bezos once said; “We can’t be in survival mode. We have to be in growth mode.”
That means we have to confidently embrace the unknown, act in spite of fear, look for ways to explore the world, search and live life without limits and continue to grow in all areas of our lives by taking action on a daily basis and never live in the “survival” mode, but to be the creator of things!

And DON’T EVER stop!
Keep going until you can… I mean, I don’t believe in retirement, retire from what? From work?
Well, you’re supposed to find a purpose in life and give your best and love what you’re doing, then you will never want to quit work because it’s a passion of yours.
People only retire because either they get sick or if they’re working for the government or for someone else and basically, hate their jobs.
Self-made business owners just don’t retire regardless of their ages!
If we’re growing, we’re always going to be out of our comfort zone. – John Maxwell
My grandpa who is 76 years old is still running strong and taking his horse out to the farm in Brazil at 4 am to milk cows and take care of livestock all his life.
And when I asked him if he ever considered stopping, he said he would never because it’s something that he truly “loves” to do and the moment he stops doing what he loves and stops being active, that’s when health complications will come after him!
Another example is Warren Buffet who is over 90 years old and he’s running strong and more active than ever as well. He reads 6 hours per day, keeps on investing, working on a daily basis, and is always being positive and grateful for all.
See, those are some inspiring people that we all should follow in their footsteps. That means they would hate to be in a comfort zone, but love to keep being active and always in that growth zone all day every day until death.
So that’s how you get out of the comfort zone and live a fulfilled life!
And as I mentioned at the beginning of this page, we can clearly see that those who don’t be in their comfort zone are the happiest people on this Earth!
Life begins at the end of your comfort zone. – Neale Donal Walsch
That means those who are in a comfortable place or seek comfort are currently miserable or will be somewhat miserable based on my point of view!
Therefore, in order to be happy and truly live a fulfilled, healthy lifestyle with success, we all must always be in that creator/growth mode at all costs.
