A lot of people don’t have daily goals or any goals at all…
And if this is you, you probably have no idea how important it is to have goals in your life!
Without a goal, it feels like life is just passing by where we don’t seem to feel the satisfaction of achieving anything based on my own experience.
I remember there was a time that I didn’t have any goals whatsoever and all I did was let the days pass by and not care about anything.
A goal without a plan is just a wish.
All I wanted to do was have fun, enjoy life as much as possible, and let life take me wherever it wanted me to go!
Yet, after 3 full years passed by, I checked up on myself and noticed that I didn’t really do anything in terms of success, or did I have achieved anything at all!
It sure was very depressing and after this time, I had no option but to create daily goals and I am glad I did!
So let’s talk about how important it is to have a goal or more! Read on.
What Is a Goal?
According to Google, a goal is “the object of a person’s ambition or effort; an aim or desired result”.
It is basically a desired result that we commit on a daily basis to achieve regardless of whatever comes in our way, and yes, it is super essential to have goals in life.
Goals. There’s no telling what you can do when you get inspired by them. There’s no telling what you can do when you beleive in them. And theres no telling what will happen when you act upon them. – Jim Rohn
By the way, life goals will keep you focused in the right direction and that way, it does boost up our own self-motivation, self-esteem, and confidence levels to do whatever it takes to get that result.
But when you don’t have goals, there seems to be less motivation in your daily routines and that is not good at all!
We all should be highly motivated to take action and take a step forward day by day regardless of how difficult it is.
Or else, what is the point of life?
Set goals that excites you and scare you at the same time.
We are all here for a purpose, to reach our goals and get what we want in life!
I don’t believe we came here to do anything at all but to do something and make the world a better place.
And that is why having a goal is super important in our lives because it keeps us moving forward!
How to Have Goals?
If you were to search on Google, you will find many different concepts on “what’s the best way” to create goals in life!
Yet, you just have to find out yourself what is best for you.
I personally don’t like too many details but a simple concept like daily goals, 3-month goals, 6-month goals, and yearly goal works best and enough for me!
You have to set goals that are almost out of reach. If you set a goal that is attainable without much work or thought, you are stuck with something below your true talent and potential. – Steve Garvey
Basically, the daily goals are what really matters because it is what we do today in the present time that counts 100%.
Therefore, you can have monthly goals as well as yearly, however, if you’re not taking action on a daily basis and having daily goals, then you’re probably not going to achieve your monthly or maybe not even your yearly goals.
I know people who do have monthly and yearly goals, but since they are not doing whatever it takes and have a strict daily routine, they seem to never make it!
Can you see my whole point here?
You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream. – C.S. Lewis
So what I’m trying to say is that daily goals are way more important than monthly or yearly goals since it is what we do today that really counts…
And this is what I do, I would first write my yearly goals, then see if I can achieve them within 6 months time frame by asking myself the question; ‘how do I accomplish my yearly goal plan in 6 months?’
And then I’ll figure it out and I would work extremely hard to hit that goal within 6 months or less.
In fact, there are times that I usually hit that goal within 4 months!
Yes, believe it or not, my daily goals are what allow me to reach whatever that goal is within only 4 months…
So do that and break those goals into fewer time frames and then work your best and your hardest, you will be surprised by how fast you can achieve that goal of yours!
Why Have Daily Goals?
Well, as I mentioned above, the daily goals are what really counts. It is what you do now that truly matters!
It is what you do today that will take you forward to reach whatever it is that you want to achieve or accomplish!
Set your goals high, and don’t stop till you get there – Bo Jackson
Yet, having any type of goal will set you in the right direction going forward in life, and that is why you MUST have goals if you want to succeed at anything in this life.
And if you don’t have goals, you’re just going to live day-by-day and not achieve anything based on my own experience.
Sure, you may not have goals and still do some work, but trust me, you’re going to take a longer road than if you were to have daily goals or any type of goals.
This means that having goals is actually the “shortcut” to getting what you want faster than ever!
Plus when you actually reach and get whatever it is that you want so much, you’ll see how much your motivation increases as well as confidence levels and overall well-being!
The harder you work for something, the greater you’ll feel when you achieve it.
You’ll feel like a superhero and if you’re like me, I usually feel like I can have whatever I want in this life!
And I can surely say that it is our goals that allow us to get all the things we want in life through constant hard work and dedication.
Yet, I’m not talking only about businesses, material stuffs, but most importantly, great health, wealth, and happiness.
Final Line Conclusion of Daily Goals
I’m sure you have figured out that daily goals are what we all need, right!?
Ok, cool!
So have yearly goals, 6-month goals, 3-month goals, but most importantly daily goals as this is the most powerful one and you’ll see how much you can achieve within a short period of time!
And this could be whatever it is that you desire!
But the way, as you noticed I didn’t add a 3, 5, or 10-year goal because the world is evolving so fast that in just 3 years from today, a lot of things will change and that goal might not matter anymore!
Don’t decrease the goal. Increase the effort!
About 5 years ago, I started with yearly goals and I worked very hard to reach them.
Sure, I failed a lot but that is what made me successful. My aim is to do whatever it takes to get what I want and you should as well!
Not to mention, one of my daily goals is to have a huge impact on someone’s life and that is what I’m doing here since you’re here reading this!
And just remember, you can do goal setting with a pencil but you have to do goal-getting with your legs and that is by taking action!
Since it is the action that separates us, the greatest gap between goal setting and goal achieving is doing it!
