It is true that nobody actually needs a spiritual teacher or a “healer” when you have negative triggers known as emotions, thoughts, or ego activity going on in your body…
Well, your own suffering can be the best teacher of all time! Yet, of course, not a lot of human beings are aware of that since most of them allow feeling down to become a part of who they think or believe they are.
Is this you?
I’m sure and all I have to say is that it is NOT you, it is only an identification of you made by your own ego.
Yes, did you know that your own mind/ego is responsible to make you suffer the way you do? I mean, some folks have a superior ego meaning their mind makes them feel as if they are better than others which is also suffering.
While others have an inferior ego who makes themselves a victim of life, of others, and themselves.
The suffering you create is always some form of non-acceptance, some form of unconscius resistance to what is. On the level of thought, the resistance is some form of judgement. The intensity of the suffering depends on the degree of resistance to the present moment. – Eckhart Tolle
Either way, feeling down is a GOOD sign and if you continue to keep reading below, you’ll find out!
What Is SUFFERING?
According to Google, suffering is simply a “state of undergoing pain, distress, or hardship“.
Sure, there are much more to that such as discomfort, distress, tribulation, irritation, emotional stress, over-thinking, feelings of revenge, trying to survive, etc – I can keep going forever!
But one thing that I can say is that if it is not physical damage such as you’re really hurt by physical trauma, physical illness, or anything of that, then all others are mind-made suffering.
That means your mind known as the ego created your own suffering and it is meaningless which I’m going to tell you why right here!

As I have mentioned above, it is important to truly know that our own ego is an identification of who we think we are or who we believe we are whether you are aware of it or not…
It is created by our past circumstances from all types of events even from people who have done you wrong, and the more you dislike your own past, the more likely your ego is making you a victim of yourself.
While others who do have a past of revenge activities against others are suffering through their own superior ego and believe me, there are all types of people living around just trying to survive based on what their ego has identified themselves as.
Suffering begins when you mentally label a situation as bad. That causes an emotional contration. When you let it be, without naming it, enormous power is available to you. The contraction cuts you off from that power, the power of life itself.
So if you had a not-so-good past, you’re likely suffering from your own ego which in your mind you’re living there and all human being has an ego regardless of how enlightened they are.
It is part of human beings and the crazy part is that animals don’t have an ego, which if you were to pay close attention to them, you’ll notice that they all live in the now, in the present moment.
Where most human beings are either living in the past or the future but none of these exists since we are not there anymore and the future hasn’t come yet.
Therefore, are you suffering from your mind-made conflict? 99% of people suffering are without knowing it and it is only you, yourself who has to figure this out!
The ego says, “I shouldn’t have to suffer,” and that thought makes you suffer so much more. It is a distortion of the truth, which is always paradoxical. The truth is that you need to say YES to suffering before you can transcend it. – Eckhart Tolle
How Feeling Down Is a Good SIGN?
You know, we as human beings came to this world to feel our own best and that is love!
Yes, love is actually a state of being, not a form of emotion towards someone else or of something.
It is our natural state of what we are all supposed to be in this human life and that means we all have to love everything but most importantly, love ourselves at all costs.
In fact, if you don’t know, most animals are in this pure state of being and that is why we may feel good around them and that is the reason why they are attracted to people with good loving hearts.
So when you’re feeling down, you can rest assured that it is a “good sign” showing you that need your own attention to bring out whatever is causing you to feel low into your own consciousness and awareness for you to turn it around and start feeling good once again…
Can you see my point here?
From what I’m trying to say here is that the moment you’re not feeling well with yourself, that is a CLEAR sign that you need to release into the universe/source/God and allow forgiveness to happen!
Yes, forgive yourself for everything just like me, I am constantly forgiving all time on a regular basis and that is one of the reasons I am constantly in a loving natural state of joy and in peace within myself…
But if you continue to keep feeling down, that means you’re not accepting what is happening or has happened, then that is actually not a very good sign!
And again, the reason why the moment you start to feel down is actually a good sign is that it is letting you know that something is wrong and you need to fix it or do something right away which again, that’s the “light bulb” shining in you that you would want your body to let you know and it does.
You just have to be aware of it, observe what is causing you to instantly feel down and why it’s causing you such a trigger.
Some people think that to be strong is to never feel pain. In reality the strongest people are the ones who feel it, understand it and accept it. – Unknown
Do that and I guarantee you that if you forgive in the right second by accepting what is and surrendering to it, you’ll be glad that that trigger of feeling down was a good sign for you to turn it around and feel your own natural state of being which is LOVE, joy and in peace once again!
Bottom Line: Why Suffering Can Be Your Best Teacher?
Most suffering folks are perceiving the world as hostile, where there is fear filled with trouble and sickness.
Yes, that is actually how they all see it if you’re not one of them…
And the reason why suffering can be your best teacher, I would say is that because ONLY YOU as yourself knows what is causing you to suffer.
Not a spiritual teacher, not a healer, not your parents, or anyone else but YOU!
Is suffering really necessary? Yes and no. If you had not suffered as you have, there would be no depth to you as a human being, no humility, no compassion. You would not be reading this now. Suffering cracks open the shell of ego, and then comes a point when it has served its purpose. Suffering is necessary until you realize it is unnecessary. – Anoymous
You know I am here to help you, but there is no way for me to know what is going on within you figuring it out on your own since I am not you.
Again to make sure you get it, the conflict you’re having with yourself that triggers you to feel such a way is only you that knows it and that is how it can be the best teacher for your own self.
Much suffering, much unhappiness arises when you take each thought that comes into your head for the truth.
But one thing I can say here is in order to fix your own suffering, you just have to look deep into within yourself, become aware of what is causing you to suffer, and allow yourself to see the negative energy and feel the emotion to be released.
When you accept and surrender to that particular emotion or negative thought, your body will start to free it from you.
And that is one of the hardest part for people who are suffering since your EGO will not allow you to accept but you have to go beyond your mind and allow your soul/spirit/higher-self to do that work and accept, not the mind/thoughts.
And therefore, you give it the light of your own consciousness known as the light of spirit/light of God towards such feelings or negative emotions.
When you do that, you have to seek forgiveness and again, you do that by accepting it as it is by not trying to change what has happened since it already happened and you can’t change it regardless of what you do, and when you surrender to it and let it be as it is, right there you start to forgive yourself from past events.
Sure, if your negative triggers are from past people who did you wrong, you have 2 jobs here to forgive them because if they were aware enough by the light of their own awareness, they would have not done such a thing which is usually their case where they are suffering just as much or worse.
And when you first forgive them, you then forgive yourself as I mentioned above!
By the way, a lot of people claim that “time heals” and if it did, you wouldn’t be suffering from your own past or ego. The world would be a different place to live in since most people would have been healed and we all know there are too many folks running around faking it but in extreme internal suffering without showing it to the outside world…
