Sometimes I do get questions like “when are you going to retire?” and my answer is always; ‘Retire from what?‘…
Retirement is only for those who are tired of working for the “system” known as the government.
Rich and wealthy people don’t really retire, they keep going because they love what they do and therefore, they don’t see what I do as workflow but most likely as a “hobby”.
Let me give you an example; Warren Buffet who is one of the most successful billionaire investors out there, is 90 years old, and has he retired from life?
Nope, he keeps going stronger than ever and keeps doing what he does like investing big money, reading up to many hours daily, and always taking on great opportunities when he sees a chance, and all that!
So my question is, retire from what?
Change your thinking. Change your life! Your thoughts create your reality. Practice positive thinking. Act the way you want to be, and soon you will be the way you act. – Les Brown
I mean, that’s only if your life is a struggle and that means you’re living in that victim/survival lifestyle and working for a “job” that makes you depressed… Okay then sure, I would probably “want” to retire from that type of lifestyle as well.
Better yet, I would actually turn my life around to live off my dreams by creating a successful business, invest in several companies, and basically look forward to that financial freedom regardless of what age I’m at.
Therefore, I would never have to “retire” whatsoever because I’ll be making money while I sleep, and yes, that is what every single person should actually be doing and living off the freedom type of lifestyle forever!

What Is Retirement?
According to many sources out there, the retirement age in the United States is 65 years old.
And according to Google, retirement means “the action or fact of leaving one’s job and ceasing to work” which is to permanently stop your workflow forever!
Retirement has been a discovery of beauty for me. I never had the time before to notice the beauty of my grandkids, my wife, the tree outside my very own front door. And, the beauty of time itself. – Hartman Jule
Now a high percentage of the population thinks that only when they retire that they will be able to enjoy and have fun in their lives since they won’t be working anymore and won’t have an alarm clock ringing every morning, and so on…
But in my way of thinking, if you retire at 65 years, then you’re not going to want to do anything at all since you worked so hard in the past for all your life and now that you’re finally able to enjoy life, it’s not the same when you were younger.
So my point here is that most people retire at this age and actually just sit around and wait for death to come!
Even though I get older, what I do never gets old, and that’s what I think keeps me hungry. – Steven Spielberg
And that’s not the way to go in my opinion, but please don’t judge me!
Sure, if you retire at an early age like less than 50 years old, that would be okay because you will still have plenty of energy and time to enjoy your life!
But if you have retired based on an accident, certain circumstance, due to a specific situation, or whatever it may be, then I totally understand and this post is not for you.
However, if you’re a healthy person at whatever age you’re currently at, you shouldn’t want to “retire” but to keep going!
Why?
Well, let me give you an example!
My grandpa is at the age of 76 years old in Brazil, which you might not believe but he wakes up every single day at 3:30 am, gets some breakfast, and by 4 am, he’s out to go catch his horse at a pasture a few blocks away from his home in the town. So then, he rides his favorite horse from the town to the farm and gets there by 5 am or so, and what he does is milk cows all day.
I don’t care what other people think of me, I enjoy my life with my own rules.
Plus of course, he takes care of all the other animals like chickens, pigs, cattle, livestock, and all those at the farm!
By 4:40 pm, he goes out to catch his horse once again at the farm he’s working at every day, and he rides it back to the town to leave the horse in a small pasture around his home since he doesn’t like to actually “live” at the farm anymore even though that’s where he grew up.
And the reason is that he’s afraid of robbers or criminals coming to the farm and locking him up in a room or whatever and doing harm to him.
And this has been going on for many decades!
But what I’m trying to say here is that he’s very active on a daily basis and he is very healthy and strong. But the moment he stops aka “retires” from what he does every day, that’s when the health problems will come by!
Most people who retire no longer want to be active and the moment you stop being active, I’m telling you that regardless of whatever age you’re at, health complications may come across you soon at all costs.
The time will pass anyway, you can either spend it creating the life you want or spend it living the life you don’t want. The choice is yours.
And that is because our bodies were made to move around and since wellness is everything, which is way more important than just “health” itself or as I may call it, disease-free, you just have to keep going!
In fact, a study shows those who work until their 70s made it to older ages and live much longer than those who retired early…

What Is The Best Way to Retire?
Based on my own opinion, which yours could be different, but my best way to “retire” someday if I ever do, is to have as much passive, income, and money flows coming in while I’m sleeping.
And the only way is through investments or owning businesses!
You have the power to achieve greatness and create anything you want in life – But you must take action. – Jack Canfield
But since I don’t want to actually “retire” and put a stop to my life, I truly believe we all should keep going or at least continue to be active on a daily basis and I’m not only talking about our physical bodies, but also active in improving our brains through reading, meditation, etc.
And that is by gaining more and more knowledge every single day!
If you don’t know, as I mentioned at the beginning about Warren Buffet (90-year-old billionaire), he reads for at least 6 full hours per day, and that’s a lot!
Now, I’m not saying you have to keep going by “working hard” like my grandpa does but the reason why my grandpa is actually continuing doing what he does is because of the love and gratitude he has in his heart to do what he does, to take care of the animals and feed the livestock at the farm and all of that!
You are creating your life with every intention, every thought, every word, every action.
So what I’m trying to say here is that when you love what you do, you don’t want to “retire” and you basically won’t unless again, you have poor health/complications, a certain situation happened, etc…
I basically want to continue doing what I do forever as well because I love it and even though I make my own health and wellness my number 1 priority regardless of whatever, what I do on a daily basis does not interfere with my health, but actually improves it!
That means, I’m not living off that survival mode and always stressed out on a daily basis. I’m not eating bad unhealthy foods, I’m not worrying, depressed, or any of that, but simply spiritually happy in my natural love state of being filled with gratitude, joy, peace, and feeling all the elevated emotions that we all should feel as well.
Growth is painful. Change is painful. But nothing is as painful as staying stuck somewhere you don’t belong.
I mean, my all-time goal is to live a very long life but I’m talking about over 100+ years old and the only way is through being active on a daily basis and continuing to do what I do.
Now the moment I stop and not be active anymore and just sit around not doing anything with my life like how most retired people do, our body basically starts to “shut” down at a slow pace… Believe it!
Now if you’re tired of your job which means ‘Just Over Broke’, it is your responsibility and no one else’s to go look for something better and if you do go out and search for it, you will find it sooner or later!
I believe that we are solely responsible for our choices, and we have to accept the consequences of every deed, word, and thought throughout our lifetime. – Elisabeth Kugler-Ross
Since age is just a number, If I were you, I would look into what your passion is and try to find a way to build a business out of it regardless of whatever age you’re at, and therefore, you will never want or have to actually “retire”.
And that also means, you can live a very long life and that’s if you want!
So here are 10 rules to live as a successful, active person even when you “retire”;
- Eat well to stay well all year round
- Find your passion and live by it
- Hire people for financial freedom
- Read, read, read, & read more
- Have a margin for safety/emergency
- Shouldn’t care what others think
- Give unconditional love & gratitude
- Spend more time with friends & family
- Be active every single day for wellness
- Think of ONLY what you want – Positive

What Are Some Advice to Give You in Terms of Retirement?
My very first advice is to focus on your health but most importantly, well-being which means being active on a daily basis and you should always look forward to eating only healthy foods for a healthy, fit body all year round.
I mean, you could be “healthy” like free of diseases and probably not truly active, and if you’re not happy or in peace but always active, then you’re not really in a wellness state of being!
Happiness is the highest level of success.
The second important piece of advice that I can give you is to follow your passion and not only the money.
That is because when you do what you’re passionate about, then that’s pure love and again when you love what you’re doing, you’re going to be forever happy, grateful, and always have all the elevated emotions which yes, it will allow you to not want to retire and actually live longer.
And my third advice would be to look for ways to invest, and you don’t need a lot of money, but just a few thousand like $3-8 thousand dollars, you can actually invest in something and work it out to make it a success.
There are actually many ways for you to invest, just do your homework and find out for yourself!
6 Money Rules that ONLY Rich People Follow; 1) You won’t get rich off a salary alone. 2) Inflation steals your wealth. 3) Buy assets first, liabilities last. 4) Never spend more than you make. 5) Pay yourself first, always. 6) Use compound interest.
And that way, when you’re at an old age, you will have passive income coming in from every direction and this will allow you to live the financial freedom lifestyle that you deserve, in which you won’t just depend on the government’s paycheck every month.
Therefore, if you do retire and stop workflow, you will have much more money to live off and have the best life that you ever wanted!
I know this because there are many old people in today’s date and age that have retired, but they only rely on the government’s paycheck every month and since that’s not much money, they still can’t live the life of their dreams.
And I’m talking about always on vacation every month, buying all the things you ever wanted, and enjoying your life as much as possible, and not just sitting around at home, waiting for death to come which is what most of the population does.
We all see it all the time!
So that’s my 3 most important pieces of advice that I can give you before you come to a point to retire and that’s if you truly want to retire because I don’t.
Outcome of Retirement
Based on my own opinion, when you look forward to the 3 most important advice that I just gave you, you’re not only going to be way more healthy and wellbeing, but also have the true financial freedom that you would need and therefore, you will then enjoy life just as much as you want!
Plus you will retire as a happy individual who’s not only relying on the government’s paychecks every month.
Now you do know that everything in this life is a choice!
Musicians don’t retire; they stop when there’s no more music in them. – Lous Armstrong
The beginning of freedom is the realization that you are not “the thinker.” The moment you start watching the thinker, a higher level of consciousness becomes activated. – Eckhart Tolle
Remember, it is ONLY your responsibility for every single thing that is happening in your life right now!
Yes, it is your choice to retire poor or wealthy, it is your choice to retire in a good state of health or in poor health, and it is your choice to retire unhappy or truly happy living off that blissful lifestyle.
That’s right!
But everything is based on what you do today, in the present moment that’s happening exactly right now!
That means don’t wait for things to change but make them change regardless of anything. Be committed to change and take responsibility for everything in your life.
You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream. – C.S. Lewis
